Learn about the brains behind CYA HR
CYA HR was founded by Samantha Maxwell, a human resource professional who began her career with the House of Blues in 1993. She spent the next decade working for entertainment, marketing, and nutritional companies. In 2006, she decided to branch out on her own and CYA HR was born.
CYA works with a variety of companies, as well as a variety of company types. Some of these company types include entertainment, fundraising, call center, graphic art, advertising, technology, payment services, electrical services, and web-based advertising.
Maxwell’s goal is to work with companies directly affected by the Millennial Generation (also known as Generation Y). She helps companies bridge the gap between Baby Boomers, Generation X, and Generation Y. She offers guidance regarding each generation’s singular approach to work and careers.
Maxwell is a graduate of Sonoma State University, where she studied business and communications. She also became a Certified Human Resource Professional by the University of Phoenix. She also has an HR certification from the Society of Human Resource Management, and keeps up with changes and new laws in regards to HR management through attending virtual workshops and seminars.
